I have the honour to strongly recommend for His Excellency's favourable consideration the enclosed application from Messrs Cunha and Lopes for an increase of salary.

It will be observed from the attached memo. by the Cashier that their work has very largely increased since 1893 when their salaries were fixed at the present amount, and the increased cost of living in the Colony is well known.

Both these officers have a large amount of responsible work and they perform it very satisfactorily.
